February is almost over! We are ever inching closer to spring. Monday is March 1st and, with that, the start of March is Reading Month! Our theme this year is "Read, White, and Blue" and we'll be including unique theme days that celebrate our country and state.

We have challenged the students to read for at least 15 minutes every day at home. Please support your child's efforts and be sure to initial each day as they complete their goal. There will be weekly prizes for students that complete each day as well as an entry for a drawing to win an electric scooter/bike combination!

We also have a whole school challenge for our students to receive rewards. We will be collecting "miles" to special destinations around the United States. Each book read and completed by a student in Mrs. Kienitz, Mr. Jacobson, or Miss Eising's class will earn one mile. Each book completed in Mr. Rohde, Mr. Keup, or Mr. Chatel's class will earn a mile for every corresponding AR point. Here's the list of destinations and the reward:

Reed City to Two Rivers, WI - 428 Miles - Two Rivers is home to the original ice cream sundae! Once we reach 428 miles, each classroom will celebrate with delicious ice cream sundaes including toppings!

Reed City to Hershey, PA - 679 Miles - Chocolate Hershey Bars will be the treat for reaching this destination!

Reed City to Rockport, ME - 1036 Miles - The first ever donut hole was created here! We'll have a day of donuts (and holes) for the kids!

Reed City to Orlando, FL - 1301 Miles - Teachers and students will select a favorite Disney movie to watch with popcorn and treats.

Reed City to Yellowstone National Park - 1605 Miles - We'll celebrate on a warmer day in May with a camp adventure utilizing the area near the new pavilion. Hot dogs and s'mores over the campfire, a hike around the property, and maybe a nap under the warm sun! We'll also include some fun outside games.

A calendar of event days will be coming home tomorrow (Friday, February 26th) to prep you for this fun month! Please encourage your child to read daily to help be a part of reaching these goals. Lots of fun activities for school and home!

Due to restrictions because of COVID-19, we are not able to hold our traditional Kindergarten Roundup and Open House. We will be scheduling private family tours for those interested in seeing our school and meeting our staff.

Trinity offers preschool for both 3-year-olds and 4-year-olds. PS3 is on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:05 am until 10:45 am. PS4 is on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:05 am to 11:15 am. Mrs. Kienitz and Mrs. Schlicker can't wait to meet and work with your young students.

Trinity also offers all-day Kindergarten led by Mr. Jacobson. Kindergarten is a self-contained classroom and we limit the number of students to a maximum of 16 students with an aide.

We are currently enrolling students for all grades - preschool through 8th grade. We offer tuition discounts and assistance for families that qualify through our FACTS system. If you'd like to arrange a tour for your family, please call the office at 231-832-5186. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the Trinity family!
