Children's Sunday School
This is an opportunity for people to join in fellowship after our worship service on Sunday mornings by enjoying a cup of coffee and a cookie. Adults and children enjoy fellowship and refreshments prior to Sunday School. If you would like to donate some of the needed supplies to make this happen, a sign-up sheet is available in the kitchen at the church. We are always looking for volunteers to help.
Sunday School is a wonderful addition to our Sunday Worship! Sunday school begins shortly after the worship services & fellowship time, 10:20 a.m. - 11:20 a.m. Sunday school is open to all children ages 3 - 13 (preschool - 8th grade). The curriculum for Sunday school includes Bible stories, music, crafts, and games. This is a wonderful time of learning & making friends as we learn about Jesus!

✝️ Bible Stories
Our goal is to teach children of all ages how God’s Word, the Bible, speaks to their lives right now, right where they are! We go beyond basic Bible Stories to life applications as we teach children to “walk the talk.”
PreK and Kindergarten - Mrs. Snider
Grades 1 & 2 - Mrs. Saladin
Grades 3, 4, 5 - Mrs. Miniear
Grades 6, 7, 8 - Mr. Kienitz
During the Bible Study Hour on Sunday mornings, we offer a nursery for all children 2 and under. We have a group of wonderful volunteers that rotate watching the children so their parents are able to attend the Bible Study. This takes place in the cry room in the back of the sanctuary.
Our Trinity Lutheran Youth Group meets once a month for Bible study, food, fellowship, activities, and fun! Friends are always welcome. Youth Leader is Miss Eising and Mr. & Mrs. Boprie.

Scripture Search meets every Monday morning in the conference room at Trinity. It is the goal of this ladies group to become more familiar with the whole Bible which speaks from cover to cover of the "love of God in Jesus Christ our Savior". We do this by alternating between the Old and New Testament books. In one hour sessions, we share and compare, and through BIble helps and commentary notes, get new insights into God's Word. He equips us to share His unending love with Him, with one another, and all those we encounter. Come walk the journey with us.

BIRTHDAY CAKES 🎂
We have a great privilege of making birthday cakes for the children at Eagle Village. The ladies of our church have been making cakes since 1971! As we know, every child likes to have a special treat on their birthday!
In conjuction with LOVE, Inc., Trinity Lutheran Church and School offers a paper and personal care pantry to those in need throughout the community. Those looking for assistance need to contact LOVE, Inc. to begin the process (231-779-1888).
QUILTER'S FOR WORLD RELIEF
The ladies of our congregation cut and sew together squares to make quilt tops for this wonderful cause. They meet at our church once a month during the winter & spring months to tie the quilts together. These are then packed and taken to a distribution center to be shipped to New York where they are distributed around the world as needed. These quilts are special to any individual on the receiving end. They can bring warmth on a cold night or protection from the sun on a hot day. They can be a bed, a room divider, or a backpack to carry belongings. The quilts sometimes even provide the shelter of a home. Any donation of fabric, sheets, or batting is a tremendous help in making these quilts.
PIG ROAST 🥘
Come and join us for this fabulous meal! This is an annual event open to our entire community! The pig roast usually takes place on a Saturday in August from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. The menu consists of roasted pig, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, corn on the cob, rolls, pie & a beverage. Tickets are available at the church and school office prior to the day and can also be purchased at the door the day of.
CHRISTMAS BAZAAR 🎄
We invite you to come to our annual Christmas Bazaar! This is usually held the second Saturday in November at our church. Our bazaar offers wonderful holiday crafts and homemade goodies! Plus we have a delicious luncheon! We encourage all members of the congregation to get involved in this annual event, from making hand crafted items, baked items, or volunteering their time.
COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
Our Men's Group adorns the community tree by the Reed City Depot with Christmas lights in preparation for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Friday after Thanksgiving. This is part of the Reed City Evergreen Festival. The Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 6:00 pm and includes carol singing, warming fire, hot cocoa, and cookies.
REFRESH REED CITY
Our church has led the effort to help "refresh" Reed City by assisting with coordinating volunteers to help with local clean-up projects. This includes re-mulching the downtown bumpouts, local parks, and depot area. It also includes park and trail clean-up and assiting with small repair and painting projects. The event concludes with a picnic and music at Westerburg Park.

Altar Guild meets as a group, every other month. Our duties consist of setting up and taking down after the service for Communion, Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals. Also, we change the banners throughout the sanctuary, keep candles filled, change paraments according to set schedule, and keep the Chancel & Sacristy clean. For all baptisms we provide a baptismal candle and napkin as a keepsake.
The Funeral Committee is available to provide a luncheon after the funeral service for a time of comfort to family & friends. This committee is made up of the entire congregation as they help by donating their time to work, food to serve, or monetary gifts to help offset any costs involved.
This is our way of reaching out and welcoming everyone as they enter the church doors with a warm and friendly smile. We are watchful of our newest members and especially all the guests attending. We kindly ask the guests to sign our guest book located on the Welcome Center. We also try to introduce them to others who may be standing nearby.
Lectors assist in the church service by reading the Old Testament and the Epistle scripture lessons. Being a lector is a wonderful way to serve the Lord and use your God given talents.
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."(Romans 12:12) We have a ministry here at Trinity Lutheran Church known as the "Prayer Chain". The current prayer chain consists of a group of members who act as "prayer warriors". We welcome all types of prayer requests. Most prayers usually fall into three main categories: prayers for healing, prayers for strength following the death of a loved one, and prayers of thanksgiving. We are looking for more "prayer warriors" to add to our prayer chain.
Ushers are a vital part of each worship service. They hand out the church bulletins, collect the offering and direct our members to the communion table. We are always in need of volunteers for this role in our worship service.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL (V.B.S.)
Vacation Bible School (V.B.S.) is held every summer for one full week in July. Not only is V.B.S. a wonderful education opportunity for our member children, it is a very important outreach to children of the community. We invite all children ages 4 year old preschool – 6 grade to join our fun! Those students who are older are a great asset in helping to assist in the different classrooms. Our curriculum includes music, games, crafts, lessons, and so much more! We also provide snacks and have outdoor activities. We end the week with the children being invited to attend Sunday worship and share some of the songs they learned with the congregation. We are always looking for volunteers to help in many different ways.
YOUNG AT HEART
Seniors of our congregation (at least 55 years old or retired) meet at once a month for fellowship and learning. This helps us to build Christian growth through continued Christian education with Bible study, sharing food, service projects, speakers on topics of interest, becoming familiar with community resources and attending a tour or two.
