ANNOUNCEMENTS

YOUNG AT HEART!  In the throes of our northern Michigan winter, February 13th, marks the day that, after our noon meal, Pat McGhan form the National Forest office in Baldwin will address us.  For upcoming “Spring Days”, she’ll give us significant pointers on how to befriend and capture God’s beautiful and friendly winged friends, namely numerous backyard birds and brilliantly-colored butterflies!  So come! Share your luncheon goodies with the rest of us and ours at 12 noon.  Bring also, your own table-service and a friend or neighbor to while-away snowy mid-day hours in pleasant company up in our church narthex.  Beverages will be provided.  Any questions, call Marge Giese at 832-2171

JANITOR POSITION:  We are accepting applications for school janitor here at Trinity.  This job consists of cleaning the school, organizing work bees, ordering cleaning supplies, cleaning carpets, etc.  During the school year approximately 20 hours are worked during the week.  If interested, please see Tom Latin or Jacquie London to get an application.

LARGE PRINT BULLETINS!  If you would like a large print bulletin to follow along in our worship services, please ask an usher and they will provide one for you.  

MONDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY ~ Join us at 10:00 a.m. every Monday morning at Trinity Lutheran Church in the conference room to share in our study of Paul’s letter of 1st Corinthians.  We have only covered the first 2 chapters so it’s not too late to come!  Paul addresses many problems that we deal with today.  Through the Holy Spirit we are given wisdom to find solutions.  God’s Word is totally relevant to our day to day experiences.  Come and be a part of our lively discussions.  Any questions, call Marge Giese at 832-2171.

FREE!  Please stop by and check out the Care Notes and Bible League booklets.  They are free to take home!  Envelopes are available with the booklets for mailings.

BASKETBALL CAMP!  Forms are now available at the school for children to sign up for our basketball camp happening in June!  All students entering 4 – 8 grade are able to sign up!  Make sure to tell all your friends to come!

AUCTION TICKETS will be sold on Sunday’s after the church service.  If you’re donating an item please bring it in as soon as possible and give to Becky Garvon or Ronda Wallace.  Thank you for all your support.

ASH WEDNESDAY BREAKFAST ~ The Youth Group is hosting an Ash Wednesday breakfast at the school on February 22.  The breakfast and devotion will start promptly at 7:00 am.  Please join us as we begin our Lenten season.

AARP TAX PROGRAM ~ If you need help with your taxes and you are a senior citizen or a low income family, please contact AARP for assistance.  To make an appointment call: 231-734-5559.

ALTAR FLOWER FORM ~ If you signed up for altar flowers for 2012, please make sure you fill one of the purple “Altar Flower Dedication Forms” out that are on the welcome center in the narthex and place it in the offering plate.

ATTENTION LADIES ~ Grace Lutheran Church in Baldwin invites you to attend their annual Lenten Breakfast.  If will be held on Monday, February 20.  If you are interested or want more information, please contact Marie Keller (832-9590) or Marge Giese (832-2171).

MIDWEEK LENT SERVICES!  Ash Wednesday is February 22!  Please plan to join us for our midweek worship services beginning at 7:00 pm that night.  The following Wednesday, February 29 we will have a fish fry dinner prior to the service starting at 5:30 pm at the school.   

OPEN HOUSE ~ Be sure to let all your friends and neighbors know that Trinity Lutheran School will be having its Open House on Sunday, March 4, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Come meet teachers and find out about Trinity Lutheran School!

OUR NEW WORSHIP SERVICE HAS STARTED:  Tell your family and friends about our 2nd Sunday service.  It will be a more casual setting, with all newer music. Come and join us!

A HUGE THANK YOU to all those who helped support the youth group by purchasing sub sandwiches the past couple of weeks!  We thank everyone for their continued support as we raise money to support upcoming youth gatherings.
