would like you to kindly ask the guests to sign our guest book. Also introduce
them to others who may be standing nearby. If you are interested - Please
contact Erv Keller - 832-9590.
Lectors read the Old Testament and the Epistle readings during the church
services. After reporting in fifteen minutes prior to the service with
Pastor, the lector reviews the readings in the bulletin, looking for
changes. It is best of the lector and read through the passage our load in
advance of the service. If a lector is unable to attend on a date they are
scheduled, he or she is responsible for finding an alternate. Lectoring is a wonderful way to serve by giving Pastor a break & using your God given talents. Contact person is: Theresa Emington - 832-3591.
Hebrews
4:16 says: "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may
obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need". We have a ministry here at
Trinity Lutheran Church known as the "Prayer Chain" The current prayer chain
consists of a group of 26 woman who act as "prayer warriors". Prayers are placed
on the Prayer Chain only up on request. once a prayer request comes in, these
women carefully write down the request before calling the next person o the list
that is provided to every member. Romans' 12:12 says "Be joyful in hope, patient
in affliction, faithful in prayer." The requests usually fall into three main
categories, prayers for healing, prayers for strength following the death of a
loved on, and prayers of thanksgiving. The prayer chain believes in the power of
prayer and what Job says in 22:27. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;
you will cry for help, and He will say: Here am I". Please consider joining the
meaning for ministry. Contact Patti Sheldon - 832-2113.
Ushering is done at each
Church service. We need at least four(4) ushers per service. These people hand
out the service folders, take the collection places, and help with communion.
The ushers for the direction of the Elder at each service. Ushers serve one
month at a time. If you are interested in becoming an usher please contact
Craig Bowman.
